Scholarships

Education at Al-Shifa Institute is about creating opportunities for every student to succeed. We believe financial limitations should never stand in the way of ambition, which is why we offer a range of scholarships and financial aid programmes. Our options include merit-based scholarships, need-based aid, support for students with disabilities, international student grants, alumni opportunities, and kinship-based assistance.

To apply for financial assistance, follow these steps:

• Tuition fee deposit: Applicants must deposit at least half of the tuition and registration fee before applying for financial aid.
• Application form: Obtain the financial aid application form from the Financial Assistance section of the Accounts Department.
• Support and guidance: The Office of Student Affairs and the Financial Assistance section will guide you through the process.

Hostel and Accommodation

Al-Shifa Institute provides diverse housing options to meet the needs of its students, particularly female students. These include traditional on-campus residence halls, off-campus housing, and sorority-style homes. Each option ensures a secure, comfortable, and supportive living environment while ensuring community engagement and convenience.

• On-campus residence: Two purpose-built buildings accommodating 800 students, offering the convenience of living close to academic and recreational facilities, and equipped with essential amenities for a healthy, stress-free lifestyle.
• Off-campus residence: A residential compound within walking distance of the campus, designed to provide all necessary facilities while maintaining a separation between residence and institute life.
• Sorority homes: Smaller, family-like housing with limited residents, building close bonds and mutual support among students in a home-like environment.

Transport Services

The Al-Shifa Institute offers a comprehensive and reliable transport service to facilitate easy access to the campus for students.

• Convenient scheduling: Scheduled morning pickups and multiple drop-off times cater to varied student timetables throughout the academic year.

The Clubs and Societies Office, under the Office of Student Affairs, serves as the hub for these activities. We encourage students to explore their passions through 50+ clubs and societies, including:

• Creative & cultural exploration: Photography Society, Art and Culture Society, The Film Talkies, Dramatics Club etc.
• Scientific & technological advancement: Robotech Society, Al Biruni Society of Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering Society etc.
• Health & well-being: Health Care Society, Blood Donation Society etc.
• Business & entrepreneurship: Entrepreneur Society, Hult Prize etc.
• Social awareness & community service: Anti-Narcotics Society, Care Foundation etc.
• Academic & professional development: Law Society, Media Society etc.
• Sports & recreation: Sports Society, Networking Society etc.

These student-led organisations, structured with conveners, secretaries, treasurers, and general members, operate under clear guidelines to ensure transparency and effective management. The Clubs and Societies Office collaborates with all academic departments to establish a Class Representative System and facilitates club registration.

The institute actively encourages students to contribute to these societies through participation as well as introducing new clubs that interest them. The office is responsible for providing necessary forms, including Expression of Interest, Event Proposal Form, Facilities Requirement Form, and Event Planning Guideline, to initiate activities and any other necessary support to keep the ball rolling.
